Sarah and Paul are amazing hosts! The food was top-notch, especially the fresh eggs. Our room was spacious and clean, and the lodge had a warm, inviting feel. It’s really great for families, and the location is close to the beach.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had—quality ingredients and free-range eggs cooked to perfection made it a highlight of the stay. Plus, the location is close enough to walk to the beach and park, with a lovely view of the area from the rooms.
There were some challenges with parking. only three spaces are available right outside, which can be a hassle to maneuver, especially with the on-road parking situation. some rooms have small bathrooms, and the tiled floors can get pretty chilly in winter, making it less cozy. Guests might also find the stair accessibility tricky if they've got mobility issues, and a few rooms could use an update to modernize the feel a bit.

The beachfront location was fantastic for our family trip. We loved the spacious room with a breathtaking sea view. The breakfast was especially memorable, prepared with care, and the owners were incredibly attentive and friendly during our stay.
My wife said that a mini fridge in the room would be great for snacks.

Perfect spot for a family getaway
The owners were warm and cute. Chris even went out of his way to make sure we had our favorite breakfast options the night before! Our girls loved the bunk beds in our room, and I have to say, it was blissful watching them play at the nearby park and beach.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but totally worth every penny.

The view from the king room was breathtaking, allowing us to watch the sunrise over the sea every morning. Local pastries at breakfast were a delightful treat that made our stay more enjoyable. parking was a significant downside. the limited spaces outside created a hassle, and we lost our spot on the second day, forcing us to find alternative options. the check-in process felt rushed, with little welcome, leaving a less than warm impression.

It was just a great fit for a short visit in Paignton with incredible value for money. We loved the cozy touches in the room like the biscuits and hot chocolate available for us. Parking can get tight, so be prepared to park on the road if needed.
